Project Management
With an established track record of multi-site rollouts throughout and outside of Australia, our approach to project management ensures transparency, professionalism and a single point of contact for smooth communication.
We adapt our strategy to suit the size and unique requirements of each client we work with, placing value on a collaborative approach.

Fit-Outs
The Barrett Group is proud to employ an on-site fit-out specialist who has completed some of the most iconic interior design projects in Australia and across the world.
Our fit-out specialist, project managers, site supervisors and engineers bring a wealth of expertise to projects involving enterprise and office buildings, hotels and apartments, cafeteria and residential ventures, and even luxury shopping appliances.
Once you have a concept in mind, the Barrett Group is able to turn your vision into a viable project with a range of comprehensive services. We make it our mission to help each client get the right documentation and information for each design phase and see each project through from start to finish.
Bespoke Joinery
We take pride in the bespoke pieces and custom joinery that comes out of our in-house workshop based in Brisbane. Our manufacturing and prototyping skills reflect just how much we value good design.

When the Barrett Group is in control of the entire manufacturing process, we can minimise reliance on third-parties, significantly lower lead time risks, and produce efficiently designed products.
The Barrett Group has refined our methodology over the past 35 years and is proud to offer our multidisciplinary services. Our advanced system is the strategic placement of our skilled staff to projects in a combination that will cover all aspects of the project.
In all of our projects, both large and small, we always have an overlap of skilled staff to ensure that our projects run smoothly on time and budget.
Team Leader
The project team leader is ultimately responsible for the success of any project. The Project Manager often fills this position; however, in some instances, an additional The Barrett Group team member may be allocated to have an autonomous management role. The team leader reports directly to our senior client representative and is available at all times if needed. Our team leader is fully aware of their responsibility and accountability and happily accepts this role.
Project Manager
Our project managers assume the total operational control of all projects at a day to day level. They control the projects once The Barrett Group is awarded the contract from our clients. They are responsible for preparing and letting subcontracts to our preferred contractors, establishing and maintaining a project schedule, monitoring project costs from both an internal and external perspective, managing and chairing site meetings when required and finally ensuring defects are minimised and when evident at handover are rectified promptly.
Set Out Manager
An integral part of the success of any project is the skills that our staff bring to their projects. The “reference” of set out is quite limiting, as the skills our team get to projects is far beyond what it used to be. All of our projects now set out with an auto cad derivative called Pytha. Pytha is the industry-leading computer-aided design tool, and it is a magnificent aid to any project. Not only does it set out each joinery piece, but our staff also use it more widely to set out an entire venue which ensures 100% accuracy.
Our set out staff are all very technically minded and ensure that our in-house quality control measures adhere too. This division of The Barrett Group ensures compliance to design specification, Australian Standards and will report to the project manager to confirm that materials and joinery are delivered to site when required.
Site Foreperson
All Barrett Group projects are assigned a site foreperson. This role is critical to ensure the efforts of the project manager and set out manager are strictly adhered to onsite, thus resulting in the overall project delivery. Our site foremen are very hands-on in the running of the job as well as assisting his site team with the installation of the joineries we supply. The majority of our site foremen have all progressed through our company from apprentices to site hands and finally the highly regarded role as foreman.
As the site foreman assumes the role of the site manager, he must have excellent communication skills and rapport with many external stakeholders, incredibly our client.
It is with this formal approach to running the projects that we have consistently seen success. We have found that with this structure in place, our projects run more smoothly than our competitors, and we have tighter control of the project costs. It is this system that we see as our core offering to our clients and the best method to add value to their fit-out experience.
